A.    No person shall fire or discharge firearms and/or air guns within the corporate limits of the city, except that firearms and/or air guns may be discharged within the corporate limits of the city in the following instances:

    1.    Where otherwise permitted by state or federal law;

    2.    In A-1 agricultural zoning districts, other than on city-owned property located within the corporate limits of the city without first obtaining the requisite permission of the city council; and,

    3.    On city-owned property located within the corporate limits of the city with the permission of the city council, which permission shall be evidenced by a duly enacted order, resolution or ordinance of the city council. (Ord. 1485 § 1, 1996: prior code § 27-2-9)
