No electric or control system covering fire, robbery and burglary alarm devices connected with the police department of the city shall be installed without the prior permission of the city council. No automatic telephone dial or radio alarms which are designed to call the city police department shall be permitted in the city. Any corporation, person or individual servicing, installing or permitting the servicing or installation of an automatic telephone dial or radio alarm system in the city shall be assessed a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00). A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day a violation occurs. Corporations, persons or individuals already having an automatic telephone dial or radio alarm system installed shall have six months from the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter to remove same.
