The person appointed to serve as Deputy Chief of Police shall be required to be a resident of the City. He or she may be appointed from any rank of sworn full-time Police Officers of the City’s Police Department, but must have at least five (5)  years of full-time service as a sworn full-time Police Officer of the City.
