It shall be the duty of the city auditor to work with and assist the city treasurer, the mayor and the city council in preparing and enacting: (i) budgets and budget ordinances of the city; (ii) the annual city appropriation ordinance; and (iii) the annual city tax levy ordinance. The city auditor shall work with and assist the city treasurer in the keeping of books and accounts regarding the receipts and disbursements of city funds, (pursuant to Section 2.14.060 of this code) and the city treasurer’ s annual report to the city council, (pursuant to Section 3.04.040 of this code).
