A.    All backflow prevention devices or methods required by these rules and regulations shall be approved by the Research Foundation for Cross-Connection Control of the University of Southern California, American Water Works Association, American Society of Sanitary Engineering, or American National Standards Institute or certified by the National Sanitation foundation to be in compliance with applicable industry specification.

    B.    Installation of approved devices shall be made in accordance with the manufacturer’ s instructions. Maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer of the device shall be performed. Manufacturer’ s maintenance manual shall be available for inspection on-site. (Ord. 974 Exh. A § 8, 1992)
