The city declares that one dollar ($1.00) per month of the amount in minimum rate schedules numbered 2 and 4 and the entire amount charged in rate schedule number 7 as set from time to time by city ordinance is for fire protection. Whenever any premises liable for the above charge for fire protection is located within the boundaries of any fire protection district, the proper authorities of the city will accept from such fire protection district or such public water district, the annual amount due with respect to any such premises for fire protection. Any amount so paid by any fire protection district or public water district shall be paid on an annual basis. All payments shall be made annually, in advance, on or before the first day of January of each year. (Amended during 1997 codification: Ord. 682 § 1, 1987: prior code § 38-2-3)
