All water meters, fixtures and appurtenances owned by the city which are placed on private property shall be subject to inspection by city officials or employees appointed to perform such duties. The city also reserves the right to make any necessary repairs to meters, water fixtures and appurtenances which are placed on private property. (Prior code § 38-1-25)
