City Staff held a preconstruction meeting on January 7th with Stutz Excavating, Inc., the contractor awarded the bid for the Valmeyer Road reconstruction project.

At the meeting, representatives of Stutz Excavating indicated they plan to begin work on Monday, January 12.  No additional roadway closures are anticipated, as construction activities are expected to occur within the area that is already closed to traffic.

As equipment and materials move in and out of the site, motorists may encounter minor delays in the immediate area.  Drivers are asked to exercise additional caution and watch for construction traffic/personnel.

The project is anticipated to be completed in approximately 4–6 weeks, weather permitting.
