Alert & Notification Sign Up

The City of Columbia utilizes several channels to keep the public informed.  Please review the two options below to receive important City notifications. Choosing to sign up for both options will provide you with all emergency and general information distributed by the City.

Our City-wide notification system sends out urgent & emergency alerts, which may include the following items.

Alerts are sent through the KnowColumbia App, which can be downloaded for free on the Apple App store or Google Play store.

    Severe Weather Conditions, Gas Leaks, Public Safety Threats, Evacuation Orders
  • Urgent Alerts
    Boil water orders, Infrastructure Failure, Water Main Breaks, Significant Traffic Incidents and Road Closures

    Disease outbreaks, Hazardous Material Spills
  • Community Alerts
    Major Local Events Affecting Traffic or Public Services
